is there no chance of camping at Dawdon we used to years ago we used to take 3 or 4 weeks on the way up to the Highland Derby doing the opens on the west side on the way up to Dingwall stopping over at Pitlochry for a few days break in between then travelling back doing the opens down the east last stop overnight at Dawdon it was great

"THOSE WERE THE DAYS"

anyhow back to Dawdon can't do any harm asking they can only say NO

Go to Swallownest for the Camping

Organise a Committee to deal with all the rudiments, facilities, track condition etc. just as the Fed do alongside helpers during their camping weekends.

Allocate one day to the North, one to the Midlands and one to the South, each to run a one off event with a different format to the norm and different each day.

Standardise prizes at all 3 events so nobody misses out, medals for class winners each day, jackets for supremes, any additional prize money collected to be shared equally between all 3 events.

Call it Whippeteers Weekend. No "official organisations" involved, just the people that love the sport, volunteers from each region to help organise/run/present each day.

Mad idea or what lol  Come on Folks lets get together ourselves we're all capable of chipping in, don't need someone else to organise things for us  .

i really hope theres some kind of open on then and wot about alison and colins anoso open normally on the mon? dont want to appear negative but will swallownest track b ok @ that time of year? pity manton wudnt b ready by then or will it? never been but wot about gin pit or wotever its called? ive heard great reports about there.or wot about 2 opens and 2 diffrerent parts of the country 1 on sat 1 on sun say 1 up north 1 in the midlands or south just suggestions
Alison and Colins ANOSO open is to be run on the Monday of the NNWRF CHAMP weekend at WHITTON CASTLE and as we have now offered the JUNE STEELE MEMORIAL to the Devon club we can accommodate the JODAMI OPEN on the Easter Monday alongside the NNWRF EASTER CLASSIC at WHITTON CASTLE if Joyce would like to or visa versa think I'll leave Alison and Joyce to sort them out between them :- " as Joyce has had the Monday of the champs weekend for the last 2 years

a little birdie tells me there could be something on the cards from the sunny South for the May bank holiday weekend so all is not lost 8)

This is correct Linda, Fordingbridge have their AGM on Sunday and this event

will be discussed and if all goes well it will be a camping week-end.

I will post more info after the AGM when all the members have had their points of view aired, and will let everyone know the formats if it goes ahead

regards

Doreen
