Musky is an Oldies Club dogs who has been in one of our foster homes for the last couple of months. However his foster mum has family commitments over Christmas, so he has come to me for a few weeks' holiday.

I hadn't met him until we went to pick him up, he was described as a collie x, but he is huuuge - I suspect collie x hippo! :- "

For all that he is the most gorgeous, friendly, laid back dog imaginable. He walked in here, was completely unphased by a bossy greyhound, a stroppy lurcher who tried to tell him he'd better go and find somewhere else to say, and a barky exciteable little whippet x. He took it all in his stride, wagged at everyone and laid down and went to sleep.

He's clean, obedient and affectionate and a big cuddly teddy-bear (and yes, I love him   )

The gorgeous Musky:

Umm - about 10 minutes :D :D

I have to say I'm very proud of my own dogs as well. I haven't fostered before and was worried about how well they'd accept a 'stranger' in their home, but they've all been brilliant :) .

The good news is that I've just heard Musky has someone interested in rehoming him, so if the homecheck goes well he'll be getting a visitor sometime next week.

A 13 year old large black crossbreed doesn't sound on paper like the easiest rehoming prospect, but once you meet him it's impossible not to love him

What a lovely looking old boy  , I hope the new home works out o.k.

What a lovely looking boy :huggles: he looks & sounds like a very wise dog  he is gorgeous

Hope all go's well with  :luck: with the homecheck :luck:

Well, I now have a confession to make :b

Hearing that Musky might have a home offer sort of concentrated the mind - I told the family the 'good news' and ended up with OH all upset and two crying daughters :(

I realised that the gentle old oaf really belongs here and nowhere else - so that's where he's staying.

I knew we'd be hopeless fosterers, but I didn't expect to 'fail' quite that soon! :p

Welcome home, Musky

Thats why I couldn't foster (w00t)

So glad for you all....happy days together :huggles:

Thats fantastic news!! What a stroke of luck he landed on your doorstep in a lovely forever home - what a great Xmas pressie for him! He is a real cracker - :luck: with him and your other dogs!

Oh Good. What a great Christmas Pressy for all of you. I love a happy ending :huggles:
