Bruce Lycks Hugo Boss son was BOB

The Martinique BIS winner from the Whippet Show was CC

&&&&& CARTMAN's Hugo Boss pup was also in the winners.

Who showed Bruce's dog Cartman?

Well done all placed and winners ,

Am I right in saying that many years ago a Silkstone bitch won Best in show there ? S Jewel in the Crown I think her name was

Hi Jax, (yes.. I'm back - hope you've been well).

UK & Aust Ch Silkstone Jewel in the Crown 'Joy' had won BIS at the Sydney Royal Show in 1995 under Mr Phillip John (India).

She was imported after winning BOB at Crufts (and Reserve in the Hound Group).

In Australia, she won multiple BIS's, including BIS at the Hunter Valley Hound Club under Mrs Noreen Harris (Whippet Specialist).

You can see her at - http://members.iinet.net.au/~pieterse/joy.htm

Take care,

Colin

Thanks for that Colin , Im very well thankyou

I remember ` JOY` well  and was with Roma when she won reserve in the hound Group at Crufts , She was one of the nicest bitches Ive ever seen and travelled with ,

regards Jackie

Thanks for the (general) congrats on your prior post Jackie.

What a thrill for you actually being there with 'Joy' at Crufts with Roma Wright-Smith. I agree completely about her being so lovely.. Joy is my favourite imported bitch (from pics).

I'm so glad you confirmed she's as wonderful as local reports. You certainly get to know a whippet you've traveled with. I know she was very much loved by the Pieterses, her owners here.

I have a solid blue brindle that people have said reminds them (a little) of Joy.. I could only wish (and pray) to breed such a stunner!! My 'Maria' is quite cute though and has the most amazing temperament. She's smaller than Joy was and is more 'compact'.

Regards,

Colin

Melbourne Royal. The Whippet has made the cut. That brings him down to about the last 8. In about 2 hours they come back & get cut again to 4.

Talk about draging it on & on & on.

I think at the end of the day whoever is still awake wins.

I'm glad you said a 'little' like Joy Colin . The only similarity to 'Joy' is the brindle..... Joy was in a class of her own..... A tragic loss to whippets in Australia..... :*
