I am a little disappointed to read that Champion Terriers and Lurchers get a £100 + Trophy+

dog food, and Champion Whippets only get a Trophy + Dog Food. Why the difference or is this a

misprint. ? We pay the same entrance fees at the gate and also pay the same entrance fees in the ring as the Terriers and Lurchers, Hunt with our Whippets/Terriers and lurchers, and also take the same pride in our Whippets and care for them the same way as we do with our Jack Russells and Lurchers. We do not discriminate or make difference between them. In the doggie world nowadays there is as

many Whippets on the scene as Terriers and Lurchers. Why can they not take their place of pride along

side their animal brother and sisters and be equal.

what time does racing start on Sat/ show on Sunday? I'm mostly interested in coming to the racing, although I do have a dog entered in local kc show on the same date and will have to choose on or the other. How to see many of you on one day or the other anyway.

Shamie points out that You can see that there is £100 in total up for whippets AND for the first time they have a chance of the overall Championship.

Albert says if the entries justify it this year we can put up the same money for the whippets next year as for terrier & lurchers.

Both guys say that far from discriminating against whippets they are trying to encourage them up to the same strength as terrier & lurchers and unlike other shows Shamie always persuades Albert not to hide us away! We are discriminated against at other shows but not those at sHanes -Shamie keeps pushing to keep us central to everything.

Could not be happier with that result, brilliant work, and nice to hear the encouragement and interest

that all our whippets are gaining alongside the terrier and lurcher canines. Look forward to seeing all Terrier/ Lurcher and Whippet people at Shanes Castle. I hope the weather keeps up. Thanks again for taking the time to listen and your genuine comments.
