 All the very best Miss Madam and all the the others who are going over to the Midlands Game Fair from Northern Ireland. Hope you and your dogs are all very successful in the classes you enter. Who is all going over?

Hi Darren, just me, william& samantha mc keown, and john humphrey's and we're taking Torri, Clint & Colt over aswell! :) :p

im really excited about going over! :D

i'll let you know how we get on, but there will be alot of travelling involved which could take it's tole on the dogs!

Yes Miss Madam, for those of us who travel over to the mainland our dogs have a much more difficult task than those who live over there. The ferry and the drive down to the midlands all takes its tole on the dogs, but over the years both owners and dogs have had a fair amount of success considering that only a few travel over. In my own experience i travelled over 1 day before Chatsworth and was very fortunate to spend the night close to where the fair was held. Every dog will handle it different, maddy was a poor traveller as she was very hyper but that was her character, this mean't that she lost some condition due to the travelling and that was the reason why i only raced her. Hope everyone going over has a wonderful time as no doubt you all will and may all your dogs bring some trophies and rossettes back home with them.

Incidentially does anyone know how far the lurcher race is at the Midlands?

yes will be going on the sunday as well , will see you there mark , taking my three dogs as well , but wouldent consider racing her , last years race was a complete shambles , so i pulled my dog at the last minuit , when i saw how it was organised .

Organisation wasnt the problem it was the ground they were given to race on. Two weeks beforehand was the v festival, it rained all weekend and the ground was carved up by all the cars. This was the only ground available to them, so this was why the organisation was seen to be poor. This year it looks like the racing has moved, so hopefully the ground will be better.

Im going both days, as qualified for simmo finals. Last year she went out first round, so here's hoping for a better run of luck this time!

Does anyone know how long the race will be at the midland gf?
