It is certainly not difficult to find an IG. In recent months we have seen the rise of several "breeders" - and I use the term euphemistically.... who will sell IG puppies to anyone who has the cash, wioth little consideration as to the quality of the home they are selling to, and even less knowledge of the bloodlines from which they are breeding. So yes - it is easy to get one from one of these, and their number appears to be rising at an alarming rate.

It is more difficult to get a well bred puppy from a caring and reputable breeder and rightly so. If there arent any puppies available at a given time - then try having a little patience, and if you offer the right sort of home, it will be worth the wait. Unfortunately people seem to put little store any more by waiting for a well bred and reared puppy with the assurance that as lifetime of help and support backed up by genuine knowledge is on offer.

And no, there is no such thing as a miniature IG - although no doubt they will before too long be crossed with chihuahua to produce the desired little disigner mongrel.

There are plenty of places to find iggie pups, people just need to know where to look, or be in the right place at the right time - and with the right amount of money ;)
I'm hoping this post stays  o:)

We paid alot for our dogs but the're worth evey penny. We were lucky enough to be in a position to do this. If your in the right place at the right time you may even get them free.

Getting them for free wouldn't have anything to do with luck - it would be about proving that you are the sort of home that would offer a life-long commitment to the dog, and being trusted enough by the breeder that they know you would you would never abuse or take advantage of that trust :)

Money can buy you many things, but it can't buy you that . . . .

I can think of a number of IGs that were given to their owners...

quite right - all to do with trust and being more interested in the perfect home than the money.

How about introducing yourself and your IGs. You seem to be well informed on this subject. This forum welcomes new blood.

Ooo, you sound just like me! Maybe you are me - maybe I'm talking to myself . . .

Well I'm not as thick as I'm cabbage looking, and I can see where this is all going.

However, I have nice fresh clean sheets on my bed, and they are begging to be slept in - so, rather than you all bickering on here, I'm going to close the thread, as it's far from the topic that was first raised..... and has probably run it's course anyway
