Missing Smilies - Help

wondered why since going onto my new PC (with AOL) I cannot see a particular

smilie on the left hand side of the board (its the lol smilie 4th one down on the far right)

some pictures arnt showing up either - like when I tried to see on Jue 332 thread about the lost whippet - the picture dosnt show up on the poster ..... is there some settings Ive missed ..... or is it me.

Please help.

The AOL browser is a mystery to me, but it's to do with that cacheing images. Basically to save having to keep downloading the same images & speed up rendering the browser keeps a local copy of recent images - if you try and view images that have already been downloaded it doesn't bother to get them again from K9 but loads them from the locally held copy.

The problem you have is that the images the browser really has locally and the images it thinks it has differ. Hence you're getting blank images. If you were using Internet Explorer of Firefox hold down the Ctrl key & press F5 when viewing the page - that refreshes the page and downloads a complete new set of images - the AOL browser might be different however...

tried internet explorer again - this seems to solve it straight away - can see everything again. :thumbsup:
