Hi,

I have pmed Judy, but just wondered if anyone has any details or pics of this dog?

Just found out that he is my dogs sire and so really interested to know all about him. I only knew him by his KC name before tonight :b

Thanks

Tracy

Tracy - your in-box is full. You need to delete some of your PMs.

All I can tell you is that we knew him 'personally', and he was a great dog. Always ran wide on the bends, but had the speed to win anyway. He always fought it out with his brother WCRCh Sunshine, who was almost a carbon copy of Mr Woo. Both lovely dogs were bred 'up north' by Elsie, Jack, and Mark Gregory, in the good old days when we were Northern members. We have many happy memories of shouting him on at the Champs where a large group of us always camped over. Oh happy days!

His owners marriage broke down, and he went to live in Oxford? with a nice chap called Simon. I'm not sure if he still runs at Oxford, but Dan will be able to tell you. Bet your pup is lovely eh? :D

June,

Thank you so much for this, it is a lovely story and so nice for me to hear about him. Ollie's dam is owned by a lovely couple in Oxford, and they said that his sire was raced and did quite well, but until yesterday I had no idea that he was a champion. Lots of things are starting to make sense now though (w00t)

My pup is 15 months now, absolutely gorgeous and as fast as a rocket :- " I am going to Oxford on the 5th of march, and would really like to join the club and try and get him cleared.

It's sad that his original owners split up, but it could meant that I get to meet him which would make my day :D I will definitely ask Dan if he knows if he runs there

Thank you once again for this lovely insight.

Good luck with your pup Tracy - I'm sure he'll be a natural. Mr Woo, or WCRCh Mr Woo to give him his proper title, was from a repeat mating of Leading Lady, and WCRCh Cousin Jack. The first litter produced some very good racers, so the mating was repeated. WCRCh Flash Bang Wallop was a brilliant dog from the first litter, and is behind a lot of the racers around today. We had a pup sired by George Orwell (Flash's brother), and she raced up until she was 10 last September, but now lives the life of a couch potato in her retirement! Hopefully she will help to train puppies from now on.

Have fun on 5th March, and let us know how you get on.

I'm hoping that he will love it as much as I think he will

Lovely about your bitch, and wonderful that she is enjoying her retirement (w00t) I will keep you all updated don't worry. No doubt there will be a post on the 6th of March :- " (w00t)
