I have a lurcher and a friend has a greyhound. We walk the dogs in woodlands where there are deer. I want to find better and more suitable muzzles for them which fit better than a basket muzzle but which will allow for strenuous running. Can anyone advise whether one can get customised muzzles made to measure or suggest a different type of muzzle. I don't think the wire ones are suitable because they may get caught on a branch. Obviously we can't put either Mikki muzzles on them or Ancol mesh muzzles. Thanks to anyone who can help. Sue.

Try googling it, you's be surprised how many places there are to get greyhound/lurcher stuff from.

me i wouldnt muzzle it running through woodlands as at speed it could snag onto anythink and break its neck but ther again running through woods is a danger itself but each to there own. why do u need a muzzle if they are walking on lead?

deer + dogs + trees are a bad combination muzzled or unmuzzled, my bitch was out of action for ages after she ran into a tree branch chasing after one it punctured the muscle in her chest split it right in two took ages to heal up i would keep them on a lead or dont walk them in the woods thats my advice i never let mine off the lead in woods cos its just not worth the injuries they get
