Meet my new addition to the family, my Cousin Ben bought him for us for xmas. He is surprisingly quick and a lot more interesting than i thought he would be. We have had him bout 4 weeks now so he is just about used to us and ready to be handled.

I have tiny hands by the way so you can see he is tiny.

How cool is he??? He is a Russian Horsefield Tortoise, About a year old! And yep his name really is Speedy lol

He is faster than Tig hahaha

Luckily as ever Mr laid back, Tig isnt bothered by him just sits looking at him which is nice so we can leave the vivarium door open and feed Speedy by hand without having to worry he is going to be eaten lol. We are dead lucky with Tig and other animals really.

Haha I think Tig is a one off when it comes to liking little creatures, I dont think Speedy would get on very well with Tora lol besides he has to stay in his special vivarium to keep him warm (apparently, i just sit and feed it dad does the rest, was too much reading lol).

haha Speedy is weird jade lol he's worse than my rats hahaha I bet our boo would love him she used to the rats so im sure she'd just sit and watch him like she did the rats and gives them the odd kiss haha (she only gave skip one kiss cos he bit her nose and made it bleed haha).

Anyway talking of tig we havent got boo to race now so i think tig needs to come out a retirement so we got a dog to run lol

Sade you've gone mad I think it would kill him!! You have loads of dogs at your mum and nans can't we just borrow a few of them until bobby gets cleo trained up? Ha

And yeah ur right speedy is kind of weird but pretty cool its his neck that freaks me out LOL

And I've got no chance with Cleo Bobby says hes her dad so hes doing it all i dont get a look in!!!! lol

Its not his neck that does me its his mouth they have weird horrible scary mouths i think lol

Well Bob is cleos dad and she already runs best to him down the hall so I think its only fair he trains her too LOL

speedy is the right name for the Horsfield they can really shift and they dig their way out of anything Our Maisie's Crackles did she was out on the garden and Maisie left her alone for 2 mins and she'd gone dug her self under the hedge she didn't come back out until 3 weeks later when the sun was really hot

he doesn't do a great deal other than eat to be honest. He went through a phase of weight lifting LOL used to lift his log up etc surprising how much he can lift seen as he is so small LOL

Quite funny when you open the door and start talking to him he trots on over to see what's happening
