:( :( :( :( My poor Jack aka Wilmaleen Desert Prince decided that he would take on the gate after next doors cat!!!!!! It's something he has never ever thought of let alone attempted in all his 8½ years. Now he is lying on the hugest, softest bed imaginable because he banged his shoulder on the way up.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that he hasn't done any lasting damage, but he is off to the vets tomorrow just to be sure.

It must be hurting because he is lying so very quiet which is not like Jack, but I also know what a very very good actor he can be, which he usually forgets by the next day, but this time I think he might not be kidding about.

Have given him some medicine to ease the pain and very very gently rubbed arnica into the area to help bring out any bruising.

So we are keeping our fingers crossed he'll be okay in a day or two!

When are Iggies going to learn to use crash-mats? - Zoomie uses Milly-lab to bump into when he's controlling his speed :D

OUR JACK HAS MADE A COMPLETE ASS OF BOTH OF US.

If ever there was a double Oscar handed out, Jack would win it by a mile. After all the mollycoddling in preparation for visit to the Vet, the next morning Jack gave himself away

He danced around very happily (on all four legs) showing no sign of distress or injury because his Dad was making a corned beef hash and Jack loves corned beef. We'd left the cage door open as he hadn't been moving much and there he was dancing away.

Pedro hadn't noticed because he was busy but I watched him as I came up from kennels. As soon as Jack twigged I'd seen him, he went back to being oh so poorly.

Ever been taken for a sucker, we sure have!!!!!

But of course we're delighted that he's ok.

 Ahh glad Jack is ok, my first Lurcher i rescued called Dash, was an Oscar winning actor and would scream like someone was murdering him after a run, if i ignored him he would look very disgruntled, get up and carry on running round like a loony! Onlookers must have thought i was a very uncaring owner as i completely ignored his yelps and paw in the air!!! :- "

glad hes ok.i had a dobermann bitch that could teach him a thing or two about acting. ;) she used to walk past the patio door when she wanted to come in and shed limp on the leg nearest to the glass to make sure youd seen it.then shes turn round and walk past the other way, trouble was shed then limp on the leg nearest the glass again!lol!so shed be there walking up and down first the right leg then the left!she could never figure out why we didnt fall for it! :D

 I've got a Springer of nearly 13 who does that! Unfortunately she can't remember which leg she's supposed to be limping on, so we don't fall for it quite as often as we did! Glad he's OK though
