Just made complaint to the council, my lurcher pup had gone missing off the yard (she is loose and spends her time in fields with the pigs!) so contacted local police nothing there, contacted council and they said to check see if her photo was on line which it wasnt, checked following day up until 4 when it turned up, she looked so sad as well.

Phoned them up and told to pick her up by 5 as they close 4 the night, couldnt do it as pound is 25 miles away and it was 4.30 then , got a friend to pick her up at 9 following morning and they were quite abusive to him telling him to ring the F***** bell if he wanted assistance even though they were standing in front of him!!!

They then charged £50 which was £5 more than stated on web site!! Not that i mind paying but if they had put the photo on web site on day 1 then it would have only costed £27. So was really really pissed off that she had been kept there that long. GRRRRR

$h1t happens. But you have you pup back. Great news.

message should be in general section, not whippet showing! glad you did get your dog back; I wonder why they couldn't just tell you over the phone whether or not they had a pup matching her description?

I remember when my Aunt's border collie managed to get out of the garden one evening and was picked up by the police. They had kennels and such, but they put her collie in a side-alley with walled sides and gated ends, but no roof, no bedding or water. They would have let her stay there all night too with no shelter at all. Thankfully my Aunt managed to get and pick her up in time, but they hardly treated the dog particularly well.

Sometimes people just irritate the h*** out of me. At least it's simple with animals and you know where you stand (most of the time)!!! At least your babe is safe at home again.
