I came across this picture of my son Daniel and our first Italian Greyhound Meadow.
He would have been around 7 yrs old in the picture he is now 23 .

Meadow was his best friend and he was then one of very few children handling an I.G in the show ring, as they were considered and still are by some breeders/exhibitors to be unsuitable for children.
Daniel made the Richmond finals once , Meadow lived to be 15 yrs old and always slept in Dan's bed he will kill me for telling you this but had to sleep in his under pants if not Meadow wanted to do her motherly duties of cleaning :lol:
One wicked winter night we lost her
turned the house upside down ) A search party went out in driving rain with torches , no Meadow by this time Dan was hysterical :wacko: Then I had an idea to turn out the airing cupboard and right at the back sound asleep on a pile of towels was Meadow :- " I think the worst and best day of my life :thumbsup:
