HAS EVERYONE RECEIVED THE BALLOT FORMS TO ALLOW THE NNWRF MEMBERS TO DECIDE  WHERE OR NOT YOU AGREE TO THE  £10 INCREASE FOR 2006 MEMBERSHIPS. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO DO DRUGS TESTING IN THE CORRECT MANNER. THIS MONEY WILL BE SET ASIDE SOLEY FOR THIS PURPOSE AND ANY BALANCE WILL BE ADDED TO OR DEDUCTED FROM THE FOLLOWING YEARS.
IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO A RECENT MEETING AND HAD ONE YOU SHOULD OF RECEIVED ONE IN THE POST THE CLOSING DATE IS THE 11.12.05 AS HFL ARE AWAITING CONFIRMATION

Just had a phone call from di shes posted the scottish forms off, and was bring the north-easts forms to easington and sunday...anyone not there will receive theres early next week
I cannot speak for the rest of the Scottish members but as yet I have not got mine and even with the Christmas post rush I would have thought that I would have mine by now. Given the delay from when the Scottish forms were posted (see above quote) even if I get mine tomorrow and posted them back the same day will they be in on time? So if the answer to this could be no the closing date should be changed as all the members votes will not have been counted through no fault of their own. Maybe in future all forms should be posted out on the same day and not given out at race meetings as the committee and the workers know there is enough to do on race day without adding more to do. In my opinion the committee were only trying to help by cutting some of the costs (postage) of racing and I applaud them for that but in my opinion it has not worked on this occassion.

should ask if you can PM linda broom with your reply john steve

I thought by putting it on here Steve that there was more of a chance that one of the comittee would see it and bring it to the others attention.

good idea Steve I will put a new post on to let members know

I feel that I should point out that.

1. I never started the topic.

2. I am not having a go at the comittee why would I after all for once Scottish members get a chance to attend TT opens (Fed old or new) without having to travel championship miles.

WE have still not received any ballot forms ?? unsure why not but has every body else received any ??

We have been handing them out at nwrf meetings, save on postage

No one seems to have had a ballot paper through the post, we can all send our vote to Linda evan though it should be a private vote. But what about folk who have no computer ?

How can it be a private vote ? if no one checks who has returned the voting forms then who can say they even came from members ? i could copy loads and send them --or any one else could ---at least if you P.M linda or write to her she knows the votes are from members--also if you can not trust the committee why are they on the committee in the first place?---this is where clubs could help as regions used to with bwra--in finding out the views of members..

steve

ps

and before any bright spark jumps its only my opinion made hopefully to help!!!

I would say 90% of racers have had there forms , there names have been crossed off a list...if you email Linda she will tell di who's voted ..the date the forms have to be back by will have to be moved back a few weeks nobody needs to panic

i must admit i thought it was a private vote too. it was a piece of paper with the question on and a box that said yes and a box that said no. there was nowhere to put your name on it  i was asked by denise if i had a form though so she did know that the few of us that were standing together had one and handed them back in @ easington.

its not a secret ballot its simply a vote on drug testing :(

To be fair it cannot be a secret vote in the sence that the comittee have to make sure that a member only gets one vote and there are no false votes I think that's why there is a number (I seem to remember from previous years) on the postal voting forms from the B.W.R.A and there are numbers on voting forms at general elections for the same reason. Yes it's true at the same time a comittee is checking a vote is valid they could see how a member has voted but to my knowledge no comittee has done this or at the very least not made this information public knowledge. In my opinion future postal votes should be that sent out by post to all the members then it's up to them if they return them (within a reasonable timescale) as we all remember the kickboard banning problem from a few years ago (B.W.R.A) and all it would take this time is a member not to get a chance to vote and there would be a outcry. On the whole the comittee are doing a good job and I for one would like to thank them for doing what is a thankless task.

Im not worried about a private vote , I just wonderd how those without a computer would know in time to send a vote off to Linda
