ye will phone rspca to ask on the laws and i hope i get him to he would love it with all my lot like a mad house hear  :clown:
the new helpline number is quite expensive 3p to set up the call & then 8p a minute after.

Yeah that's what I've heard on their advertising campaign on the radio, the ironic thing is the people who will phone will be animal lovers, makes more sense to me to make this info free to all and impose bigger fines / sentances etc.

Stikes me finnbob, that if you actually would be prepared to have this dog for yourself... way is to go the softly, softly, the way you have been going  best to keep your friends close and your enemies closer-it does make sense!

If you can find a way to improve that dog's lot in that way, that would IMO be the best option in the circumstance. I.E. keeps you as a 'netural' helping the neighbour out and does'nt compromise you in your environment.

Ok, perhaps its not the best of circumstances - things can change in the future, in that the dog just needs out, but my point is at least you've taken the time to be helpful and accomodating...aka, getting a foot in the door toward enlightenment of your neighbour :b for what you have posted - between the lines, its a balancing act I would hazzard a guess!

Was this dog intendend to be a deterent?...Have to read between my lines there, for as much as I have read between yours, without a doubt your doing the right thing...however, this 'owner' may have issues, best way forward is education ... in that i have LITTLE faith in involving 'authorities' , in that if you keep up the dialogue, your on a winner, if you can work toward that dog not be replaced by another! Little by little it all helps ... I know, i do go on...everyone else has their own way and its well valid, I do not disrespect it in any way.

I accept its a leap of faith, its only my tuppenceworth finnbob, proceed as best you can. We can only do our best in any situation, but its that "not possible to carpet the whole world" deal :)

Good on you,

All the best

Sheena

That's great news :D :D Lots of luck with him, it sounds as though his luck just took a big turn for the better :luck: :luck:

I just hope your neighbour isn't the sort to replace him with a Christmas puppy :(

Well done.

You saved him from a miserable existence.

Best wishes for the future.
