what does "desexed" mean? does that mean a bitch who has had her reproductive organs removed is not female..... or not ? ie removal of gender or does it mean removal of sexual organs???
Desexing is just a term for removing their reproductive organs, same as a woman who's had ovaries & uterus removed, or a bloke who's unfortunate enough to have had his testicles lopped off

I have 2 neutered males at home & no other dog has ever mistaken them for females, they're still very macho boys although I did get them done when they were almost sexually mature. They still cock their legs like entire males.

:D yeah, sorry it just sounds odd to us, we're used to the word Neutering :D

My boys all cock their legs even though they are neutered too.

My whippets were neutered at six months.

Whippet X was neutered at nine months.

Beagle boy was neutered at four months.

Boxer bitch was neutered at four months, prior to her first season,on the advice of the vet. :D

Speaking for myself, I am having Lenny castrated in a couple of weeks because he has 2 retained testicles, and this COULD lead to complications later in life. I am not saying it WOULD but I am too nervous to leave it to fate. But thats just me, some people would choose and wait to see what happens.

Just wanted to let you know that Lennys nuts are safe for a bit longer as my OH (the one with the car!!!) can't get any time off work at the moment and I think it would be unfair to make Lenny walk 6 miles to the vets to get his veg removed (w00t)
