Ok peeps you all waited long enough! (w00t) well done.

This is a bitter sweet story, but here goes....

Our new baby is called Alfie. He is a cream long haired Chihuahua, 9 months old.

He came home with us on Saturday 2nd June. We went to collect him in South Wales.

My friend Vicky got him as her new baby just before Christmas 2006. She was so excited to add him to her little brood of two mini yorkies, Pheobie & Tina and her Hairless Chinese Crested pup, Hope.

On New Years Eve Vick wished us all a Happy New Year 2007 and was full of excitement for the coming year as she had recently opened her new doggy shop in Newport, Gwent called "Paws for Thought".

Vicky was out dancing with her family and having a great night when tragedy struck...

Her friend Fran said "We were all having a great time, I was at the bar getting drinks. I turned around and saw Vicky looking at me, she was smiling. Then suddenly she fell to the ground. Many tried to revive her but she was pronounced dead."

Vicky was just 26.

Vicks dogs went to live with her parents. Just when you would think nothing else could go wrong...... Vicks younger brother Philip told his parents he wanted to go to a local gathering of friends. After 10 mins at being at the party Philip told friends he wanted to go out for fresh air. He collapsed outside and was also pronounced dead.

Philip was 20 years old.

As you can imagine losing two children over the space of two weeks would be hell to any parent.

So as you can imagine Alfie is very special.

So.... the organisation Cardiac Risk for the Young (C.R.Y) http://www.epolitix.com/EN/Forums/Cardiac+...bc_purpose=Basi

Is holding a sponsored walk in order to raise awareness and funds into why this can happen to so many young people. The walk will be 8km in London, July 15th.The 8km represents the 8 young peeps who die suddenly from cardiac issues each week.

Anyone wanting to sponsor me, Vicky & Phils family/friends PLEASE pm me.

Any donation will be great, loose change included.

Pinky P (aka Paris) is has wanted a Chihuahua for ever! and is sad and at the same time made up that Vicky has given her such a lovely pressie.

He is so cute! A real traffic stopper and has a better wardrobe than posh spice :D (w00t) 8)

Enjoy the pics and there will be many more to come!

Jax xx

The only one with one of the boys! Here is Alfie looking not to sure  with Kai

good :luck: with alfie, my daughter will be so jealous

Oh such a sad story..I am so very sorry to hear this,no parent should have to bury a child let alone two in such a short space of time....my heart goes out to them. :(

I wish you all the very best with Alfie,he looks to be a lovely little chappie,I just wish you had acquired him under happier circumstances as I am sure you do too.But I am also sure that Vicky would be happy to know that you and your family had him and she would be thrilled to know she had made Paris so happy. :huggles:

Such a tragic story. :( My thoughts are with Vicky and Philip's parents. :huggles:

Alfie is really cute, and Paris must be thrilled to bits - I'm sure he will be a very treasured little fellow.
