Was at Derry track tonight,and there was a beautiful black bitch,with white socks there,for a trial.I sort of jokingly said that if she didn't make the grade,,id give her a home,as something was drawing me to her.She did a great trial time,of 17.10,which was would win many a race on any night.Next thing i knew,was the owner of the bitch,and not the kennel hand whom id said it too,was coming toward me,and when he said she was mine,if i wanted her,i nearly fell out of me shoes.This bitch was bred in the purple,and her sister is one of the fastest bitches in the north of ireland at the moment.The problem was,or is,that the owner is a big gambler,and the bitch isn't turned on as much as he would like.He called her a liability,and wasn't prepared to take the chance of loosing a few grand on her,and said that as long as it was me who was keeping the bitch,then he would be happy to let me have her.So for now,anyhow.Ive one more to train up,and will do my utmost,to turn her on.Will post a few pix tomorrow.

Just spoke to a mate of mine who knows his stuff about track times in Ireland and he reckons that 17.10 round Derry is a good run. Sounds like you've done great :thumbsup:

Love the forequarters of this wee girly.Will be breeding her with Dannyboy,when the time comes,as i think he's proved his worth already.Should put a good strong frame into the pups,this bitch,and it means that my own good greyhound bitch,can go to the breeding kennel's of the man who wanted to breed from her.Will race the wee black bitch 1st though,to see if i can get her straightened out a bit better,as regards putting her heart into it.Will just have to call in a few old tricks of the trade.(i hope)

I have put Top Savings into the dog search on greyhound data. Her grandsire is Top Honcho the same as our Button. Button has similar markings to your bitch Billy.

The way things are going in greyhounds all will be black within the next few years . Top Honcho having sired so many litters and black dominating ,

Youve only to look at the racing on a Tuesday evening on sky and the some races have all black runners .

My mate has a Droopys Merson bitch due in a week or two and its her 4th and last litter , so far she has produced ..20 solid blacks , 4 B/W and 2 brindles . and the new sire is black too . Im wanting a fawn bitch , some chance
