We're coming down to the new forest for a few days in a couple of weeks so can you reccomend places for the best dog walks and also some dog friendly pubs (in case it rains and we want to go inside for a bit! )

Sonia will be on later - she's always in the forest with Jesse, and I'm sure she will sort you out with the best dog walks - probably pubs too

:) Hi there, The New Forest is a beautiful place, very wet at the moment though, let's hope it's better for your visit.

What part of the New Forest are you visiting? as it's huge. The heart of the New

Forest is 'Lyndhurst', very popular tourist attraction with it's lovely little village and the

famous 'Boltons bench'. This is one of my favourite dog walking areas, even if it is

very wet this is one of the driest parts of the forest. If you do visit there go to the

information centre in the village as they sell great guide books telling you about walks,

how many miles, time wise and dog suitability.

Other parts of the forest which are nice are Beaulieu, Stoney Cross and Bolderwood where you can hopefully see deer from a viewing platform. ;) If your visit is wet

:( 2 other areas which stay very dry are Deer Leap and Longdown both near Ashurst, these are the areas I visit the most as they are less than 3 miles from where I live.

Sorry not got a lot of advice on pubs, 'The New Forest hotel' at Ashurst and 'The

Bold Forrester' in Marchwood are my favourites.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your stay.

Sonia and Jesse xx

Thankyou for the info. I didn't realise you could go and watch the deer being fed.

We are staying near milford on sea, but have a car so can drive to places for walks.

I'll try and check out the information centre, and yes please :crossfingers: it gets a bit dryer!
