I have just realised that in my rush to start posting I never introduced myself. I hope I have posted this in the right place.

My name is Jane, I live in Newcastle upon Tyne with my fiance Matt and our two dogs. Tallulah is a lurcher, saluki size and probably a saluki cross of some kind. I rescued her from a shelter nearly 3 years ago. She is probably around 5y by now.

Daisy is a miniature long-haired dachshund. She is just over a year old. We got her with the hope of showing her but as she grew her nose bent off to one side. It is very strange but we have had it checked out and there is nothing wrong it is just one of those things. I also found out last night that she needs to have some eyelashes removed from inside her eyelid. That just makes me more sure that I made the right decision having her spayed, if any of these problems had passed to her pups I would never have forgiven myself. Here she is on her first birthday.

Hi and welcome. Gorgeous cannines, great pics. Hope your can borrow a puppy crate from some kind soul to save you having to buy one (aka previous post).

Bit late in responding to this sorry!! Welcome to k9, I do hope that your gorgeous new girl won't be too long in finding you.

Looking forward to lots of photos when she arrives.

And don't worry about crates- no need for puppy crates, get her the size that will suit them as an adult

I am going to get a 36" one that has a divider in so I can make it smaller for when she is toilet training.
