Hi I am Colette - on Saturday our puppy will be 8 weeks old and will be coming home - we have spent last few weeks getting everything ready and just a few bits left to do

How exciting! What breed/type is he/she? Promise you'll let us see photos!!

I tried to upload an avatar pic of her but it said something wrong lol I will get my daughter to try this evening she is a yellow Labrador and I got my first pick so we are chuffed

Hi and welcome from me too! :) Very exciting and yes another vote for pics if poss, (my daughter too is my IT support person:D:D:D)
Has she, the pup, got a name yet and have you had pups before or is this your first:eek:? (Joking, pups are fab!...most of the time!!:p:D)

Hello and welcome. Looking forward to seeing pics of your new family member!

Thanks everyone for the responses yes her name is august (with a small a ‍♀️) I have had dogs before but not had a dog for 10 years as we moved into a flat. After loads of research I decided it would be no problem for dog or for us. I wanted a GSD and my daughter wanted a staffie lol - my son’s goldador was bred with a lab and had pups the week we we looking for pups- so we decided to reserve a puppy with them instead as we knew the history and temperament.

The Guide Dogs people use labrador/golden retriever crosses a lot, so I think you have made a good choice there.

So my daughter put avatar up for me that is when she was new to world once she is home I will get an up to date pic up. Had a video this morning of august jumping onto a storage box - other puppy trying to follow but couldn’t manage yet. She is definitely the boss of the litter and they think she may take a little while to settle away from litter - lots of work for us from the start

What a lovely cross and very cute! I like the name august:) and look forward to more pics and updates.

I made a mistake about breeding- ooops - their maternal grandmother is goldador from kc reg lab and golden and grandfather is kc lab - their mum is therefore 3/4 lab and no registration and father is kc lab. Not that this makes much difference but thought I should correct myself

I got some great videos of them ignoring mopping right in front of them and august and her brother having a scrap and having heaps of fun :)

In all honesty I've never had anything but waifs and strays come my way and none with papers or indeed much history at all!! Actually tell a lie, my second elderly yorkie I adopted( the owners were going to have her put to sleep as she was having little wee accidents), she had a pedigree as long as my arm, but she was such a funny, oddly misshapen little thing...loved her dearly though and we had 2 good years of love and laughing with her!:)
Whole different dog world out there now!
Bet you're so excited to bring little august home:D
