My dogs are ever so lucky they have a lovely new toy.

It is a treadmill.

With our lovely(NOT) weather we stuggle to get the dogs out so I have invested in this lovely contraption.

Well getting it out of the box was a work of art, with lots of huffing and puffing, I managed to open the box (w00t) .

Mum said 'are you sure you are contecting it up properly' My reply was 'if I can show a dog and set my computer up i'm sure I can tighten a few nuts' :- "

I will keep you updated......

(w00t) Wow! Thats one expensive toy :- " My sister has one for her dogs, they love it, they are long haired and it saves her loads of hassle if the weather is grotty.

Tracy - What do you mean by lovely weather??!! Are you implying that our wonderful British weather can be a little on the soggy side?

I live in Torbay, known as the English Riviera which is supposed to be famous for its warm sunshine and palm trees so as usual the rain is bouncing off the ground at the moment and I have just looked up a long term weather forecast which says that there is over a 50% chance of snow here at Easter.

Go on Tracy get the overtrousers and Hunters on and go out and play in the mud cos you know you want to really and are HATING the thought of staying in warm and dry while the dogs are being exercised.

Is your treadmill the same one that was on Dragon's Den.? I met a lady at a show who also had whippets and she was telling me she had got one of those ones and it was excellent.

A human treadmill would probably be too short for most medium and above dogs.

on a similar vein, my Monty a couple of weeks ago, from our local paper :D

I have a human tread mill all my whippets are happy to use it and quickly got the idea of what to do. William on the other hand is a bit big for it but did try it once he just stands on it till he ends up falling of the end  . It does have an emergency stop wire on it which is attached to his collar so it stops as soon as he starts to go backwards so he is not likely to get hurt

That's brilliant of Monty!

He doesn't look too impressed though

He went on it first thing, then back again a couple of hours later for the photographer, he was quite happy to walk back in there, so it couldn't have been that bad :- "

I think his missing leg was stolen by naughty iggie girlies :- "
