I work at Pets at Home, the coats they sell are just for general dog wear and are not cut to the right shape for a whippet

I dont make them, but i do have a supplier, if you want to pm me with what it is you want i can give you some prices

HI

i get my boys coat from a company called KELLINGS. i dont have the fone number with me but can get it for you.

there is a website if you look on google, and they are based in Anglesey, i have 2 day glow jackets in yellow, they have refelctive strips. they have been really handy at night in the winter, hes all black, so is much easier to spot.

they tell you how to measure, and, make them just right for whippets.

they arent at all expensive, and have a lovely fleece lining.

i can get you the number if you want

If you could pm the number to me that would be good. I tried looking for Kellings on google but Kellogs keeps coming up - I dont need cornflakes :D

I just ordered a rain coat from Jay Coats and it is great- fits really well and folds up really small for your pocket. Tess looks  in it and now refuses to get out of the car if it is raining until I put it on

Heres another link for coats too (have only bought collars from this site as I got my coat from Vicky)

Have printed off the order form from Jaycoats. They look great.

I see that they do velcro fastenings as well as the nylon snap buckle type. Dithering about which type of fastening to choose now......

I'm thinking the velcro fastening type may have advantages..... maybe easier to wash ........easier to fold up.......

Can anyone reccomend one type over the other please ?

I'd go for the velcro for easyness. Dessie has had me change all her buckle coats ( and there's been quite a few LOL) from buckle to velcro

And one more thing with buckles, whippets love chewing them

 what size do you recommend for a little girly of 4 mths to grow into, she is 17" from neck to tail ?

thanks

I had my coats from Jaycoats one has velcro the others buckles .Although my boys coats are all the same length the velcro one will not fasten properly one my bigger boy only my lder one who is much finer built.

She does more colours if you go to the shows and have one from there also you can try them one to make sure they fit properly. She normaly goes to South Yorkshire Whippet club show in October

She will also make them to order she made one for my greyhound 32 inches specialy to fit him as he is a big lad and in the same colour as my whippets so they all have matching coats.
