Hi,

As some of you are aware of me, I am the one of the mad people that travels across the wicked sea to shows on the mainland as it is know over here. The Isle of Man is a small island that hosts 4 open and 2 limit shows a year, we bring in judges from across to judge our shows, they are either hound, toy, utility, pastoral, working ect. Specialist. (

Anyway on Sunday we had our first show of the year and my four did really well.

Lucy (Laxey Lady Isabella) was placed 1st in the hound class beating an afghan, pharaoh, and saluki

Molly ( Taylors Ramsey Girl)was placed 2nd in Open Bitch

Archie (Watcar Snow Storm) was placed 1st in Open Dog

Billy was placed 3rd in Sporting, he ran like a steam train to get out of the ring to his dad!!!!!

As you are all aware all unbeaten dogs are called in at the end, having 2 a friend took Archie in for me as Lucy plays up. What was really nice is that when someone else takes your dog you get a good look at their movement. You stand patiently waiting for the judge to pick her 4 finalists, yes and Archie is one of them. Well as least I’ll get a placing. Again we move all four of all (whippet, Dalmatian, Doberman and a spaniel retriever), stand our dogs for the final inspection. The judge walks over towards me. Yes we have won Best in Show. I AM TRILLED.

(Hubby comes out of hiding with a big smile on his face)

A Very happy owner

:D  Well done, what a day you had, I think you may have to take Paul to the shows with you more often. He certainly bought you some good luck on Sunday (even if he did have to hide out of the way) . I am thrilled that they all came home with a prize for you. I expect that handsome boy Archie has been strutting around letting everyone see how gorgeous he is. You do realise that he expects the Superstar treatment all the time now don't you.

:- " Yes, school soon brought me back down to earth.

I am bringing the cups in tomorrow, as the children want to see them.

Also Archie might may an appearance, as he attends school often when the children are doing topics on teeth or how to look after pets.
