hi my senior cocker spaniel has on a few occasions wet herself in her sleep at night. she has no idea as she is in such a deep sleep. this has only been happening at night. she is let out in the garden for lots of wee time and i have even been getting up during the night to let her out. issue is she just doesnt wake when she has these accidents and has no idea she has done it. luckily she has only had these accidents in her own bed but she has always got on my bed at night so if i need to change this too it will confuse her. she isnt loosing any urine at any other time and def not a urine infection so im guessing her age and deep sleep. could anyone who may have been through this give me any advice on what helped for your dog, routines, best waterproof bedding, medication, nappies, anything that might help. thankyou

Have,a,word with your vet, there are definitely medications that may help.

My sister-in-law's dog had the same problem when she got older, and they found nappies worked well for her. It's best to avoid nappies if you can as the humid conditions can cause urinary infections - but sometimes needs must.
