Well done all the winners, great turnout. could someone please let me know if a seperate pass is needed for bend racing or is the schooling pass i`ve already got enough? My 2 have had a couple of solo trials at Dunham and will trial them together next time all being well. Will this be enough or will I need proof they`ve ran ok? Thanks Chris
no chris you don't need another schooling pass good luck

thought dogs had to be proven on the bends  ????????

i have been schooling my young bitch on the bends only to be told i need to have clearing trials on the straights before she can race on the bends i for one cannot understand the ruling as i have no interest in straight racing at all.BUT RULES ARE RULES WE MUST ABIDE BY THEM.

because you usualy or should get a pass when they are pups thats what it was brought in for theres loads of clubs anyone can go to and all that is asked on bends is experienced dogs meaning that they run clean without a pass wich should of been sorted as a youngster then know one knows if they pass or race with other dogs or not its simple really

Graham the main reason for schooling passes are to make sure dogs will run in company without delliberately interfering with another dog in a race the best place for this to be done is on a straight track where most start off learning from an early age learning to chase the lure and hopefully not the dog. The NNWRF does not allow entry into bend racing under 12 months of age so there is ample time for dogs to schooled properly,

Since you first query to me on this issue Graham you have had plenty of time to go along to your nearest club and and get a clearnce pass as we all have to

that dont make sence M8

MY BITCH IS FINE ON THE BENDS IF I THOUGHT OTHER WISE THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD ENTER HER IN RACES

LINDA in my eyes she has been schooled properly on the bends so are you saying unless i clear her on the straights she will not be allowed to race on the BENDS

everyone else has had to get passed of so why shuld u be diferent mr pem its simple really maybe when highgate club is next on you could get her passed of there no way can anyone race at an open without a pass as i said its usualy done as a pup no one wants to turn anyone away if we let everyone just turn up without a pass and race on bends it could be a disaster u said it yourself rules are rules

Brilliant day yesterday thanks to everyone who attended for making it so, Thanks to all the workers especially the Highgate team as allways everything spot on, weather wasn't bad either although it was lashing it down on the journey home, it was past 11pm when Gary and Dee landed home on a tow truck thanks to Highgate lads for looking after them

75 dogs on the card and quite a few trialing during the breaks all looking good for their future bend racing, we had free consolation for anyone wanting a second run this will be available at all NNWRF bend events if required

Well done to all who took part there was some really classy racing to be seen throughout the day in both the main and the consolation I'm over the the moon with Duffy (push the button ) being 6 week out of season wasn't expecting her to win her first heat let alone her class, the 3rd run in the bitch final however proving too much for her especially with a little flying machine 10yds in front of you Well done Mark and Vicky and Livvy BESIDE THE POINT Sup bitch winner, well done Sup dog winner CLASSIC ROCK glad to see he's back to his winning ways and a massive well done to John and Fiona's MAD JACK very very impressive in his debut into bend racing as was Sup yearling BAG OF GEMS, well done to Sup veteran winner HE'S THE PITTS who is soon to be a daddy and Sup scratch Victoria's DENESIDE CRUZ and Veteran scratch OUIGA BOARD

FIANALLY the downer of the day the missing trophies some of which have not been returned for the past couple of years

now then elvis she has been passed to race by a commitee person on the bends

so what your saying is just because a pup has been cleared on the straights it makes it ok to race on the bends .strange way of thinking lol

We have been asked before about doing clearance passes on the bends and have declined them in view of safety to others its bad enough for dogs getting knocked for position in a bend race without the possibillity of a dog having a go, I don't doubt that Grahams dog may well be fine BUT the ruling has and does apply to every pup, yearling or newly registered dogs.

Graham all we ask for is members to follow the guideline and rules regarding new regs and schooling passes..these are simple put into play to try and making racing more safer for everyone ..

the way i read this is that you don't have to get a clearance pass for the bends .

thought it would have been safer to get dogs passed off on the bends as well I.M.O.

bend racing is a totally different ball game to straight racing.
