Can anyone think of any alternative for holding the champs and easter ....swalllownest field is not in the best of conditions after the wet winter
wot about kirkaldy? cant get a better track than that and great facilities too. bwra champs in the south ie worcs so why not have the fed champs in the north? ie kirkaldy?
good idea i like scotland lol

People are working hard to find alternatives for both weekends .... keep you all up to date on any progress

The show must go on as they say lol

I just hope we manage to find something Dee.

I'm sure we can say with confidence that whippet racers are a resiliant bunch, we can all club together when needed. I have faith that wherever we end up the racers will conduct themselves well and leave a good impression on any community we come into contact with.

Seeing the guy on Friday - 1 mile off A1 Blyth Roundabout.
Showers and toilets - on site

Pavillion for drinks/disco/presentation etc. - on site

Food - on site

Ample camping and car parking - on site

Swimming pool - 2 streets away

Park for walking dogs/play park for kids - bottom of the street

Shops/take aways - no more than 200yds away

Bus to the local town - every 30mins

20 mins away on outskirts of town - Cinema, Ice skating, Swimming, Bowling

The whippets used to race here years ago, the likes of Rch/Nch Leapy Lad, Rch April Wine. Some of you will remember the Nugents, Wards, Whitehouses, Brammer, Brogan and many more (many of whom still live in the village). There were close links with Carlton, Rossington, Doncaster Greyhound Stadium, all places long gone now.

Keep your fingers crossed that we can bring the sport back to an old mining village.

sounds interesting, whats the track like.central
