ill knit u some woolie passion killers lol

I am overwhelmed at the support of some members ... i know theres been a few phoning around and out viewing potential venues... i personally don't mind where easter classic is held...but do think it needs to be fair for most of our members to attend if they want to ..

i don,t think i,ll be at either as i haven,t anything running yet, ayr is lovely and blidworth has always been a favorite of mine as i won my first open with buster there, my open race event, he was in the pups, 8 1/2 years ago

the camp aite as two well stocked lakes one carp one course fish with some nice tench  and at 5 pound a day on either a bargain.its next too the southwell trail lovely walks and from the trail about 10 mins walk into southwell were have good restaraunts and pubs.for them not wanting the racing there is the famous southwell minster to visit the work house museum and 10 minute drive to the farm park and the wonderland park which is exelent for young kids :D
That sounds great Chris  all you need now is some kids :- SO just because I like you I will give you mine for the week end :teehee: (w00t) Now you are sorted. :p  Jackie. (w00t)

:D Sounds a great idea to promote whippet racing and gotta say i would be all for it if it was just a small well attended open...but the only thing on my mind for the funday is at an event like the classics is would it really be safe with hundereds of non minded whippet racing people wandering around???

Plus if theres alot of other activies going on around would the big event run as smoothly as usual???

Would all these different things be going on at the same time and how far away would the whippet track be from them???

As saftey is the main thing for all concerned... :)

Another thing is that for me (and others i would guess) who has both kids and dogs wouldnt be able to run dogs and look after kids who would want to go and do all these fun things rather then watch the dogs.

If you pay them well Chris they will be good thats what we do and when you run out of money tie them up and lock them in the caravan (w00t)

im with debbie on this one blidworth or east ayrsehire fine by me. blidworth mickey whizz won his 1st ever race and nikki whizz ran a fab race @ ayre last year and its a beautiful place and the upside is leaving your caravan there, but it wud b kind of nice to have two diff venues. good luck in wotever u decided. and thanks for all the hard work. :luck:

careful wot u say to jackie about her kids chris she will leave them with u ( shes done it to me many times lol)

Well remember Carol Iv got three  I was thinking of giving you Colin this year (w00t) I dont know who got the best deal now Carol well I think Chris did (w00t) but I will let you fight Chris for a swap if you want (w00t) Chris I would stick with the kids Colin twists more than them and you cant pay him off with money he needs food as well,

nothing is set in stone yet :) i think the rallying of racers to get venues is fab ;) cant thank them all enough blidworth and ayre all sound great ;) the place judith is looking at sounds fab :) like i said nothings set yet but will know by weekend thanks vicky chris judith and danny and all the other folk who have telephoned with help etc, just shows how folks are willing to pull together for the sport

aye but colin can put an awning up

Just out of interest concerning which area a Whippet racing club is in.

The BWRA is split into 8 x regions

Scotland, South,NY/SD,North East,East Midlands,Mid West,North West,SY

Members who join the BWRA through Worcester Wrc are regarded as Mid West members, so the BWRA

does not recognise Worcester being in the South of England

just a thought

The non minded whippet racing people would be at the NON WHIPPET RACING EVENTS.

The activities would be going on at the same time but all activities have their own designated areas. The only thing that is near the track is the BEER TENT.

There is a security firm been hired for the day.

It is a 2 day event (all finals and cons run on sunday)so we could have plenty of breaks to take the kids to the fun things. Most things are free.

The only cars that will be allowed on the field will be whippet racers(the Forum would make passes up for us and they would be given out on the saturday morning). We would have the park to ourselves on Sunday for the finals.

Danny.

blidworth sounds great to me it takes me the time to get there as it does worc i think ive only been there once and as i remember i had a good crack is blidworth more central for everybody cause in my opinion east ayrsehire isint it would take me about 8hrs. ps thanks doreen.
