ill stick with the kids thanks

The non minded whippet racing people would be at the NON WHIPPET RACING EVENTS.

The activities would be going on at the same time but all activities have their own designated areas. The only thing that is near the track is the BEER TENT.

There is a security firm been hired for the day.

It is a 2 day event (all finals and cons run on sunday)so we could have plenty of breaks to take the kids to the fun things. Most things are free.

The only cars that will be allowed on the field will be whippet racers(the Forum would make passes up for us and they would be given out on the saturday morning). We would have the park to ourselves on Sunday for the finals.

Danny.

Ok i was just asking no need for the caps i can read normal writing thanks very much .... And i know that the non minded whippet racing people would be at the other events but they couldnt be stopped coming and looking at our event.

i was only asking if it would be safe as from own experiences had people who do not understand what goes on walking onto the track and standing in silly places ie where the dogs finish etc

But thankyou for clearing it up

Sadie.

I have been reading some of the posts about distances racers travel to go to big events and i agree that it should be fair for ALL members to travel around the same distance for big events. However when I read that a track has been chosen because its about the same distance for all members I cannot understand how this has been worked out. For instance East ayrshire track is south for us it is quicker for folk in Newcastle who have to come North to East Ayrshire to get there than it is for us. I realise it may be the same for people who live far South they may always have to travel north but it seems that the measurement of the middle has been taken from the furthest South racer to Kirkcaldy which again is South for us. If we are looking at the middle for all racers surely the whole distance which ALL MEMBERS have to travel should be taken into account.

I would say have Easter Classic at East Ayrshire as its very short notice and Danny has already been to the meetings to arrange the camping/ storage and made all arrangements with the council.

Then if need be look for another track for the Champs, however think we need to look at the whole picture when picking a track not just how far ppl have to travel. I mean yeah Blidworth may be in the midlands but has no space for parking, very little space trackside to watch racing and no space to give your dog a little trott around before its race, I personally wouldnt be keen to travel 9+ hours with caravan to champs you wont be able to sit trackside and watch, have to get dog out of van onto a road and wont be able to get it ready for its race properly.

We have always travelled to champs and prob always will be at least if your going to the best possible venue it makes it worth while

after much deliberation the NNWRF committee have declined the offer from East AYrshire to hold the Easter Classic. The committee have to look at the wider picture when trying to place opens in order to get the best possible support and cover the financial outlay, in straight racing the NNWRF have 1 Top Ten, 3 Golden Jacket 1 Classic and the Champs these are spread as best as possible around the country this year being

1 G/J Blidworth

1 G.J East Ayrshire

1 G/J Fordingbridge

1 T.T. Kirkcaldy

1 CLASSIC and CHAMPIONSHIPS NNWRF track

N E and N.Y were missed off this year due to us obtaining Witton Castle which is now out of the picture but there is to be an additional event staged in N.E in June as part of a 3 day event with Horden

on behalf of the committee Fleesh, Judith and Gordon are meeting with the owners of the new venue very shortly to tie everything up if there isn't time to get it up and running the EASTER CLASSIC will be staged at BLIDWORTH and the CHAMPIONSHIPS will be staged at A/T MINERS were we must thank Vicky,Mark, and Co for all their help

CONFIRMATION WILL BE POSTED LATER TODAY

Such is life lol but as Danny has already arranged everything thinking it would be used for Easter Classic after previously telling the council he couldnt put on racing as it would clash with classic. we have decided to show support for Danny and East Ayrshire club, our own region and at the end of the day even if it only a small event we will still get the publicity and chance to promote the sport.

thats true it will be a brill weekend. we'll be there in may without fail lol

cant please everyone personaly i would of loved it to go up to ayre we have a fed meeting there in a few weeks also, but blidworth is more fair for all traveling south and north but thanks for all the work trying danny .im sure it will still be a good weekendat blidworth camping avalable for those who want it and the most important being the racing ;) thanks to everyone concerned ;)
