Hi lurcherbni, no u dont need a slip, the dogs are just handslipped at the starting line by the owners, but if u feel better with a slip then use it, the only thing u need to take with u is a muzzle.. goodluck

geoff its only 230 yards but the ground is perfection. its a sandy topped area of 15 yds wide and 260 yds long really level too.. so weve got a safe 30yrd "run-off" zone at the finish line. its also fenced off with only 2 ways in and out.,.starting line and finishing line. ermmm hows about book donated as a prize lol

hey someday id like you over here !!

john

HAHAH NO SMART ARSE !! sadly pitches are shared with a local boys team whos parents have stipulated when they block booked for training that whilst their lil "golden children" were there they dont want our club dogs there at same time. despite the fact we aint even near a pitch we run on spare ground adjacent to their pitch ! hence the late start @ 2pm !!

ANY OTHER QUERIES ? :D by the way its down south they measure differently from us..the measure in GAELIC !! (w00t)

OH HOW NASTY ITS A GOOD JOB I DID MISS IT AS YOU WOULDNT WANT A ENGLISH DOG BEATIN YOU IRISH AGAIN WOULD YOU I HEARD A COLLIE X WON THE PUPPY RACIN AND THERE WAS A LOT OF BITCHIN WITH THE GH WHIPPET OWNERS???? ONLY HEARD SO DONT GET OF YOUR HORSES ALL AT ONCE

dont be so touchy markbrick , please also be correct im english and personally i dont give a hoot who wins as long as the dogs have a good run and come back safe, i commented as you came steaming in saying you didnt know of it so merely pointed the fact out to you ? so the event was advertised in plenty of time to compete? also my little bitch is whippet x beddyx italian so only stands 18 inch hardly a match for the bigger dogs!
