sounds interesting what distance will the lurchers be running

roger

Hiya Roger, i'd imagine most will want to run over our standard distance of 275yd, if there's enough interest i cant see a longer distance race being an issue.

Also we're having classes for Salukis & Afghans if anyone knows of anyone who might be interested.

could we have a marathon race for lurchers ?say 600 or 700 meters ?i would also enter my lurcher over a shorter distance but she realy needs 400+to get warmed up......thanks ...jim

Err not if running unders n overs in same final guys....make it 100m then littl'un might stand a chance ;)

Will lurchers be split for under n over finals? Or there no point in runnning the littlies in final really... eg Andy is at least twice size of Littl'Un :-

600 - 700 yds , sounds right up mines street , slow as hell sprinting , but needs a gallop , ----stuart

We'll put a 650 (6 bend) race on if the lurcher racers are up for that in addition to the usual distance.

Just a reminder of the additional races on this year:

650yd bend race for lurchers.

75yd dash for any non sighthound.

275yd bend for salukis.

275yd bend for afghans.

Hi Vicky, can we have a 275 race for the lurcher unders please. 650 is too far for little legs ;)

Thankyou

650 is to long for andy in the overs 275 or 414 is better

roger

The 6 bend race is an additional race for those who requested it and for those dogs more adept at stamina. The 275yd races for unders and overs still stand as stated in the programme.
