Maybe the best punishment is that as their names have been made public, they will no longer have any friends and will be shunned by the entire community.

Some people are just vile.

I'd like to see a form of corporal punishment brought back for vandals, thugs, petty criminals and people like this - get them in the stocks in a busy public place, with details of what they have done, and let members of the public hurl abuse and shame at them.

But I've always been a bleeding heart liberal (using the word as an adjective, not with a capital L).

These things just leave me speechless and heartbroken, I'm just so, so glad members of the public stepped in and took the poor mite. I often think it is way too easy for people to buy animals... : (
And at the very least it should of been a life ban.

Pathetic sentence.
What will it take for the justice system to actually reflect the violence that has taken place. They are too damn fond of saying it's just a dog.. they need to be saying you have inflicted pain and suffering on another living being. And then sentence accordingly regardless if that being is a pet or a human.

I also know that if my husband and I had seen them the police would have been picking up the pieces of them. I wouldn't or rather I couldn't stand by and just watch
