Great to be back last night, absolutely loved the good weather and great company. Mum was having a great laugh up at the finish line.

The track is in fine form and all those weeks of flooding haven't done it any harm in the slightest.

WAS AT THE TRACK EARLY THIS EVENING AS ROBERT MEEK WAS CHECKING DOGS OVER BEFORE CHAMPS. I THOUGHT THATS ALL WE WOULD BE DOING AS THE HEAVENS OPENED AND IT NEVER LOOKED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STOP RAINING WE UNLOCKED THE PAVILLIAN SO HE COULD SEE TO THE DOGS IN THERE THEN WHEN WE CAME OUT THERE WAS A BIT OF BLUE SKY COMING OVER SO WE DECIDED TO GO BACK UP TO THE CAR PARK AND WAIT TO SEE IF ANYONE TURNED UP, AND THEY DID 15 OF THEM. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A NICE EVENING, WE MADE HEATS UP OF SIMILIAR WEIGHTS AND RAN LEVEL BREAKS OVER 150 yds ALL DOGS HAD 2 RUNS. EVEN THOUGH THE RAIN HAD BEEN TORRENTIAL FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS IT HAD SOAKED IN WELL AND THE TRACK WAS PERFECT. WE WILL BE DOING THE SAME ON SUNDAY WEIGH-IN TIL 12 noon

A hot and humid day today for our 2nd level breaks meeting, we just caught a shower when the last race was going up. The weather is being kind to us at the moment, just raining enough to water the track perfectly. Areally good days racing over 150yds

With it being a short report this week l would like to take this opportunity to congratulate club dogs that did their owners proud at the champs. Vets and bitches on Saturday and what a thrilling race the veteran champions final was, it looked like Spot Black was going to hang on to win but Joyce & Connor's Calamity Kate made one last surge to get her head in front on the line. Rooney's Run got r-up in the 28lbs class, well done all of you. Onto the bitches, Evolution 20lbs finalist. as was Hells Amber in the 28lbs class, Black Diamond going up a class from last years 26lbs finalist paid off as she took her title well done Neil & lrene. 30lbs r-up was Cookie and 32lbs finalist was Cracked the lce.

Dogs and Scratch on Sunday, 16lbs r-up Run Once More. 18lbs r-up Weardale Lad. 22lbs r-up Jedward. 24lbs r-up Chancer. John Jo was a 28lbs finalist as was Comin Thru in the 30lbs class.Biggest cheer of the day from club members went to Andy's R.CH. Twisted Tip, he bought Tip as a young green pup when he sadly lost his young bitch in a tragic accident. We've watched him patiently bring him on to be rewarded by winning 32lbs R.CH well done Andy & Tip. Onto the scr, 36lbs r-up Diamond Lil. Just Jen was a 45lbs semi finalist. Karens Lad 55lbs finalist and Jimmy & Karen's Raggie Black winning 45lbs veteran champion. A very big well done to you all and all the other members that competed over the week end.

Weigh-in on Wed 5th will be up till 6.15.

A lovely evening for racing tonight and plenty of trials. Next Wed 12th will be our last evening meeting. Sunday racing starts this Sun 9th and will carry on through September weigh-in till 12 noon. Unfortunately the "Help 4 Heroes" open on Sun Sept 23rd has been cancelled.

Yes Kath so is my dad  he ran his first race little bit hesitant then ran again a lot better so things looking up hopefully for the future as this dog has lots of ability
