To answer your question, I think quite a few people are preparing using greyhound tracks - we meet quite a few peddie racing people from all over at Bicester. Some dogs needed quite a lot of 'help' to get them to follow the lure round the bend though.Strike Whippets said:Its a shame as bend racings good fun..........We'll be doing the curve and some bends at Cotswolds club racing just to get our club dogs ready ........as I hate seeing the inexperienced dogs causing problems at the first bend .......
We give ours a run every so often on the greyhound track. Haven't had any problems with feet at all, and we've been going there for over a year now, and it's been nice to have somewhere to start running again with a healing toe where you know there are no stones, cracks, uneven patches etc. The only thing I don't like is that if you run several dogs together, they will inhale some sand which can irritate the throat quite badly; I think there must be some salt in it too, as when this happened to ours he drank very copiously after.conway said:do you have much trouble with their feet, as i read somewhere greyhounds have trouble with their nail beds.
