as some of u will know mark and i have recently got a new house :)) after afew fun filled weeks of scrubbing poo off wall and floor boards in the front bedroom we have finally finished giving the 2 bedrooms a spruce up. all the while thinking that there was still i slight oder to the house, we traced this back to the bathroom...so we think lift the carpet and give it the same intensive bleach clean that worked so well for the bedroom... and that was upto the ceiling, with the odd malteser stuck to the skirting.

well up comes the carpet to reviele god awful vinal tiles stained a variety of yellow and brown :x so i go at them with my paper straper and slowly but surly ( think they were stuck down with super glue) the come up.

there i am scraping way quite happily when i notice the floor boads seem to be being scraped away...oh no rotten boards i yell....and then the smell hits me :x thats rigth guys there was half an inch of poo under them!!! ever get the feeling they missed when emptying the commode :D

well its all done now and smelling sweetly....till we find the next pile!

Reminds me of when we moved in to this house. All the carpet was either missing or threadbare, apart from our bedroom which looked fairly new. We removed it however because it was a horrible colour and we'd got a cheap remnant to replace it.

The next evening we went in and the room smelt of wee and there was a huge wet patch on the floor! No-one had been in there, and I was really spooked, especially as the house had previosuly been owned by an old lady who had died in there! Then someone explained to me that the upstairs had not been used for a long time, and the heater we had going in there was probably drawing old wee out of the floorboards... :b

We spent days trying to dry the boards out and remove the smell with various things!

Yuk!!

I feel grateful for buying new houses now!! Poor you all that cleaning, thats disgusting!!
