My 12yr old Staffy cross has started pooing a lot more lately, up from maybe twice a day to sometimes 4 or 5 and there seems to be a lot more of it.
He isn't having accidents in the house and its not diarrhea (although not as solid as it used to be) changed his food to the senior version of what he's been eating all his life and even then it's only slightly less protein and fat and that was quite a while ago.
The amount I feed hasn't changed and I don't guess I always weigh it out ....
I always thought older dogs went less if anything so if anyone has any ideas ...

With an older dog, I'd always play safe by getting a vet check if anything changes. Having said that, not all senior dogs are prone to putting on weight - my dog dropped weight and lost muscle mass, and I kept him on the normal formulations. He also became less good at digesting bone - he was raw fed - so I stuck to bone-in minces instead. I dare say that if your dog is less able to digest some component of his food, more is likely to get passed straight through.

But I'm not a nutritionist nor a vet, so again, I'd check with your vet first.

I agree. Might be so many reasons, and the vet is the best person to test for them.
