Hi,

We are looking to re-home an older Lurcher, simply as a pet.We already have a Lurcher and a Greyhound cross. We are looking for a third dog,but rather than go down the puppy route, would like to offer a home to a older dog,ie 3 years +.Strictly as a pet,no breeding or working, but would like to show,as it is our hobby. We are looking at various rescues, and have seen a few we like. But just thought i would see if any K9 ers know of one needing a home. Both my dogs are indoor dogs and very much part of the family.

Amandaxx

yes theres so many of them looking for homes. :( so nice of you to give an unwanted dog a home when you could go pick a puppy instead.i wish you all the luck in the world and hope you get a nice dog to share your home :huggles:

My Jaspa came via Lurcherlink. If you put a wanted thread on, you won't be long finding number 3..

All the best,

I have a 5 year old brindle greyhound bitch around 56 lbs. Her 1st litter were very disappointing and the owner has told me to `get rid of her` !

I haven`t the heart to put her down, as she is such a `sweety`. She is very clean and no trouble. I will do my best to try and find her a loving home.

Please contact me if your interested :

I`ll get her sent over with the transporter next week if your interested ! Don`t worry, i`ll pay her fare over. I can assure you, you wont be disappointed with her !

Looks like you might have found a home for her Martin. Would be a great end to what could have been a sad story. Good luck to both you and Amanda whatever you decide to do

I was going to say that Nigel is an old lurcher when he's had a few but I'm not sure he would make a good pet. Too disobedient

Hi Martin,

That is very kind of you to offer to bring her across. It is abvious you want to find her a good home.Is their any chance of a pic?Don,t worry if not.I have also had an offer of a Greyhound locally, but she sounds lovely, and a nice age for us.I will talk it through with my hubby when he gets back from work.Do you think she would fit in with my two? That is my only concern, with getting her bought over without meeting my two, weather they all get on.Speak to you shortly, and thankyou for getting back to me so quickly.

I`ll try and get a picture of her up tomorrow, she is a dark brindle.

She will get on with anything, as she is always being moved around and doubled up with everything when I need her kennel !
