Sadly the older greyhounds and lurchers in rescue are often overlooked, and some of them wait far too long for sofas of their own.

Older dogs can make wonderful, undemanding companions. It's a great shame to see 'oldies' in kennels when they should be curled up in front of someone's fire!

I agree wholeheartedly, as my group reach 9, 10 and 11 this year, life is pretty easy. Get an oldie from a rescue and reap the rewards without the first 6 years of chaos (I still have a youngster turning five this year to stir it up a bit).
