Lovely snuggly whippets!! They looked to be really enjoying themselves. Nice not to have to de-slutch them isn't it?

Aah, two handsome chaps having fun on a frosty morning, how lovely  They look like nice snuggly coats, lovely colour for fawns too. Where are they from? (Because of course Lord Eli hasn't got anything like enough coats/jumpers/fleeces....6 at the last count :b )

Gorgeous coats- but am I missing something- I thought you only had two whips

The boys coats are from Venture (who organise the hill sprint) - Terry & Sue Ward.

The coat Louie has on was an old one I used on Arch as a puppy and doesn't have the front velcro, but Arch and Stans do so are even better. I have to say they are superb coats, wash really well - the puppys one is 3 years old and it certainly doesn't look it!

The only details I can find on the web for them are Venture coats

They are always at the SW Whippet club shows though! (Next one 18th February) :D

OEH: Louie is my dads puppy  a very gorgeous yet of course VERY mischievous lad

You mean to say they haven't got fleeces for cold weather and have to go out in their raincoats???

Shame on you Jo!! LOL!

Mine get really zizzy in this frosty weather, Bertha and Aimee were soooooooooo funny this morning, barging into one another with their bottoms. Bertha doesn't often wear a coat because she runs likes the clappers everywhere but even she was cold yesterday so I did put a fleece on her this morning and she got all girlie and silly about it!!!

Don't wish to be a spoil sport but they really don't need coats you know! especially if they are bombing about keeping themselves warm.

Mine never wear anything and they hunt in all weathers, often standing still in bitterly cold conditions for long periods of time whilst ferreting, and they never flinch and seem to love it.

Don't be fooled by there looks they are far tougher than you think, ditch the coats!

  They have got fleeces, but they wore them yesterday, they don't do the same coats 2 days in a row y'know! :p   ;)

MURPHY - sorry but when whippets are standing around a lot they do feel the cold - well I know mine do. If they are on the move they won't have them on unless its really cold. Each to their own I suppose - buts whats wrong with giving them a bit extra warmth when its a sub-zero morning? I guess their shivering is nothing about the cold? ;) (BTW they only shiver on freezing mornings never at any other time)

awwwwwwww lovely piccys   Louie is growing away (w00t) about time we seen more of him,any more piccys of him without his coat please Jo :D :D

(w00t) How's about this for coats! ... from last winter... and it was minus four this morning's walk - we're expecting up to minus 20 again :- " ;) coloured_coatsa_.jpg

Oh brilliant pic (w00t)

fantastic colorful coats, just love em

And mine definitely feel the cold Murphy, and need their coats unless working of course :D because if I don't put their coats on they just stand about with humped backs refusing to do anything :- " that is if I can even get them out of the house first without coats :b

I'm with Jo on this one. As I said normally my Bertha and Rupert would not wear a coat but it was sooooo cold yesterday and it does not do their muscles any good not to get warmed up before racing around. Some feel the cold much more than others especially when they get older and, quite frankly, if I did not take Coco out rugged out it would be cruel to her. Django did not have a coat on yesterday or this morning but by the time we went home he had his tail clamped down which is a sure sign they are cold so, if this weather persists, he will also go out in a fleece tomorrow morning.

Yeah he does o:) I like they way he wears his ears as a turban!

Louie has shot up (w00t)

They look lovely in their coats. I always put a coat on Holly as she only limps along at a snails pace, unless she is feeling particularly spiteful and wants to tell Leia off. I rarely put a coat on Leia as she is always zooming about, but i did this morning as I knew I wasnt going to let her off her lead. (I can not afford to be late for work again...... :p )

Were the boys eating the frost Jo? Star always eats the frost and runs around like a fool snatching mouthfulls of it. :D

Mine like the crunchy cowpats as well!!! Django carried one around like a frisbee for most of the walk this morning hence how he ended up with a green foot because it had thawed out where he had carried it for so long!!
