Went out for our daily walk down the fields and train track, the girls where inspecting the rabbit holes and anything else worth sniffing. I was about 20 yards in front and looked behind and saw Milly chomping on something and went back to see and she ran off with something in her mouth with Poppy after her. I eventualy got her and she had a mouthful of disgusting dog poo :x :x I have never shouted at Milly but this time I was furius  and could have throttled her. On the way back she still went after it again  She is 5 in May and never done this before so why start now ? Opinions

are you sure it was dog poo one of my oldies used to make a beeline for fox poo :x don't half pong as well

Reckon it could have been fox poo as well if she doesn't normally go after poo. I have a daft theory that at this time of year it is extra appealing cos of it being the mating season and it's probably full of gorgeous smelling things :x . Mine are more into it now than over the winter :b

if it was dog poo or any poo for that matter it will be because it contains some undigested food and nutrients, although it does appear to us to be horrible and disgusting it isn't actually, as this is how animals survived in their wild state, it is after all still waste from food that has gone through the process of breakdown in the body
