Hi Mike, My old lurcher Midge used to do exactly the same in the ford at Shilton near Burford in Oxon. Midge could have passed as a litter sister of Oscar, is it the Bedlington in them that causes this behavior. Midge would sit in the river whilst I had a pint in the nearby Rose and Crown and no amount of persuasion would get her out. The water was about 18" deep so just her head was visible. This was a dog that would jump a 10' puddle rather than walk through it, maybe the flowing water has something to do with it.Mike from Hereford said:Hi, just returned from a nice walk with my three, they seem to enjoy the small river, the more they visit it.
Oscar lays down in the water, up to his neck.Anyway heres a few pics.
