Hi from NZ again.

It is raining here today so Otis is bored.

This is his toy Henrietta - she makes a dreadful noise which he adores!

I would dearly love to purchase one of the beautiful house collars that you all seem to have on your Whippets - unfortunately I cant find anyone in NZ that sells them. I am hoping someone else from NZ posts here - or that someone from the UK sites may ship down this far.

After reading the Porridge and Goats Milk I have to report I have been feeding it to Otis for the last week and he has definitely put on a little weight. He gets scrambled egg mixed in with his dinner too.

Otis is so handsome - I love the diamond on his bum!

:)) I think Otis is pretty cute too - his middle name is Cullinan which is the largest diamond in the world.

Thank you for your link Katie - they are gorgeous and you are extremely talented making them. The type of collar I was looking for was the lovely material ones that are on some peoples signatures. They look really wide and regal.

Whippets are not a very common breed in New Zealand and nobody sells Whippet collars or coats - I guess when we come into Winter my sewing skills are going to be tested!

What part of NZ are you in??? Whippets have a fairly good population here in NZ & there is a breeder in Tauranga who sell's collars & coats, infact, there are about 3 people who spring to mind that sell coats. Have you joined The Whippet Club Inc???? We sell the lovely collars & lead sets & have coats available for sale.

Who bred you boy??? I love his friend Henrietta.... looks like lots of fun!

Lynda

What a lovely boy. I like his purple toy as well! :D

Hi Lynda

I am in Auckland.

I wasnt too sure if the whippet club was just for people who wanted to show/race their whippets.

I am not sure of Otis's pedigree - he wasn't purchased from a registered breeder - but I believe her bitch is a registered whippet.

There was a lady on Trade Me selling whippet coats a while ago but I haven't seen her advertising for a long time.

I would love some contacts or any other information you can give me on whippet stuff in NZ.

:)
