I am absolutely heartbroken to be writing this, but I have to be realistic that I am not a good dog owner, and I ask you to be kind, but understand if I get some angry replies.

Dash is a 9 year old border collie, who we have muddled through with until now. Through no fault of his own, he has not been very well socialised outside of our home, and I have always been a bit hit and miss with his vaccinations.

He is a nervous dog, but has always been wonderful with our four children. He has nipped the vet, but I still to do this day say that it was because she hurt him, he has seen other vets and hasn't had a problem, though he is wary of people touching his hind legs.

He hasn't been neutered as he reacted badly to the anaesthetic and almost died (it was after this that he nipped the vet) He also has an overbite.

He keeps chewing his own fur, which means he mats very easily.

He currently lives with me and my husband and our four children, but I think that if he were to have a home where he was the sole focus of attention he would thrive. He is a darling dog, who deserves a fresh start because we have let him down.
