Its absolutely, completely FINE

It shouldn't have a complete ring (which it doesn't) but a curve is ideal. As long as it isn't carried above the back - no problemo

The book by P. Moran Healy has good illustrations of what is required from a show whippet - most are pretty similar as those in the illustrated breed standard.

His tail is very OK!! A ringed tail is one where it comes all the way round at the end a bit like a corkscrew.
