Hi everyone.

I wanted to introduce you to Surrey Hill's international cohort which has a lot of British flavor in pedigree. Some live here and others are co-owned/co-bred.

First, our beloved English Mabel  --Bluestreak Belle Du Jour F.Ch. OTRM CR TRP (Eng. Ch. Barmoll Beaujaulais at Teisenlap x Bluestreak Belle Epoque). "Mabel" is a half-sister to some pretty well-known UK Whippets including Eng.Ch. Bluestreak Bubbly Blonde and Eng.Ch. Bluestreak Belle of the Ball (famous here for being the granddam of Monty the Magnificent, or so I am told ;) ):

As you can see, Mabel is a huge Harry Potter fan and is eagerly awaiting the release of Book 7.

And here are some of her children---first, my oldest Mabel daughter, the beautiful and fleet Surrey Hill's Casting the Runes F.Ch. OTR TRP CR. "Tabitha" is major-pointed and I will be pushing hard to finish her show title this year. She is a fabulous lure courser and over half way to her Lure Courser of Merit title.

And, her next oldest daughter, the beautiful Surrey Hill's Ripon Jewel--just turned a year old and already racing beautifully...

Then, there is Stan the Man--Jewel's brother-- a FINE racer and a very handsome man....

and there are the youngest Mabel kids:

And Stewie  :

Then, there is my half-Aussie/Brit boy, Bonzer--Ch. Surrey Hill's Galafrey F.Ch. OTRM, CR

Bonzer is sired by Aus.Am.Ch. Byerley's Savile Row which means he is down from not only Martinique lines in Australia but also Khabaray and Hillsdown and Dumbriton lines in Blighty. But through his Dam's pedigree, he also goes back to the one litter sired in the USA by Int. Ch. Paris Panther, before he left for Europe, which gives him a lot of cousins on the continent, as well.

And there is also our newest addition, Taajan Innocent Eyes:

delta_kings_lg.jpg

"Delta" is settling in and about to restart her show career after spending a year and a half at Chelsea Whippets in California. Delta is enjoying coursing practice and we hope she will add some running titles soon. She is a USA Hound Group winner. Her pedigree combines top US and down-under bloodlines. She already has winning kids in the USA from her one litter sired by the South African bred--Am.Ch. Sol Y Sombra Palais Royal--currently in Scandanavia and down from Dumbriton, Chelsea, Oakbark, and Birkonbrae bloodlines.

It is my pleasure to share our international dogs who are doing well in the ring, field, on the track, and in the whelping box.

Ah, Mabel and her pearls. Mable has a lot of bling and jewelry she likes to wear.

Here is Mabel in her pearls:

And here again is Mabel, relaxing in front of the wood stove, where she spends 95% of her time in the winter--she's being crowded out here by Tabitha, Bonzer, and one of my other young dogs, Maura:

Mabel celebrated her 7th birthday recently. She has raised sloth and indolence to the level of performance art. But she still enjoys a spot of racing and coursing on occasion.

Really beautiful dogs you have Karen - lucky you

My friend Kristen, who lives in Virginia, co-owns some of the above dogs. She has Stewie and Inga, and Delta also lives with her. She co-owns Bonzer but he lives with me most of the time.

She is an occasional lurker at K9, so I thought it would be neat to surprise her with some of her dogs on a thread here!

Maybe we can get her to de-lurk.

Fair enough! I've been lurking, reading and looking at pictures for a number of years on this Board.

I was very surprised to see my crew posted! I'm just head over heels for my 2 two English Mabel pups. I find it hilarious that Stewie the Stupendous  has a cousin called Monty the Magnificent! Its amazing what a little affirmation will do for a puppy dog. :D
