Oh my word - so hideous!HAPPIER TIMES ... Margaret and Terry Mattimore, with Chico centre, along with King Charles Cavalier Spaniels Ben and Sam.

A HEARTBROKEN couple are warning pet owners to stay vigilant after their chihuahua was disembowelled by another dog.
Terry Mattimore took his three little dogs, Chico, Pip and Georgie, along South Shields seafront on Saturday for their daily walk.
The 64-year-old’s eldest, Chico, two, greeted a white Samoyed-type dog which had came over on an extendable lead in the Trow Quarry area.
But within seconds the little dog had been grabbed and savaged by the female dog as Mr Mattimore, who is married to Margaret, 63, tried to free him.
He said: “It was absolutely horrific, he was just being dragged about, so I put my hand in to free him and two inches of his bowel was sticking out.”
“The owner let me use her mobile phone to call my wife, and I attempted to take Chico to the vets, but he died on the way.
“We’re all absolutely distraught by what’s happened.”
Friendly Chico was a Pets As Therapy (PAT) dog and would often visit South Tyneside District Hospital in South Shields and special schools within the region.
He also took part in the Great North Charity Dog Walk and assisted his owners in raising cash for Help for Heroes, by wearing a little camouflage jacket and saddle bag to collect money.
Mr Mattimore, from Hawthorne Avenue in Cleadon Park, South Shields, said: “Chico was such a friendly dog, he had to be as he was a PAT dog, else he wouldn’t have passed his test.
“We even have a cat, which belongs to a neighbour really, but spends a lot of time at ours and they both got on fine.
“With Chico being the eldest, he would keep Pip and Georgie, the brothers, in check. They’re both really missing him and keep looking around for him.”
Mr Mattimore reported the attack to the police, but was told little could be done as it was a ‘dog-on-dog’ attack.
He added: “We’re trying to get in touch with the owner, but we also want to warn others to keep watch, as this dog should clearly be muzzled.”
Mr Mattimore has requested that if anyone witnessed the attack, they could call him on 07936 931 904
