Have a young pup and pad training is proving to be quite difficult, when we catch him weeping/pooing on the carpet we move him to his puppy pads in the kitchen and when he is done he is aloud back into the living however not long after he still does another wee in the room, just wondering if anyone has any tips on training as he can’t go out at the moment as he’s waiting for his second lot of jabs

Pads can cause all sorts of housetraining problems. Their texture is similar to carpet, as far as a dog is concerned, so he might not learn where he should & shouldn't go. As far as he's concerned, the living room is just one big puppy pad! If you have a garden it's absolutely fine for him to go out there. It's also important that he gets out and about to socialise - you can carry him, either in your arms or a pet carrier, and sit & watch the world go by together.

If you really want to use the pads, make sure that you reward him really well when he does use one.

Do you have a garden? He can go in the garden before the second lot of jabs.

My pup came to me having been 'using' (although I now doubt successfully) pads in her breeder's house. In my house she had absolutely no idea what the pads were supposed to be used for and completely ignored them. I dispensed with them on the first day and just took her outside. She was not at all slow at toilet training (her last accident was at 12 weeks) but I'm convinced the pads made the process longer than it would've been, as she was used to being told to pee inside.
