What a day me and my poor Vardy have had. He got stung by a wasp. His mouth swelled up so I took him to the vet. Maybe overreacted as the swelling went down and seemed fine. The vet gave him the ok and gave him a pain relief injection. Warned me could make him sleepy. Fine by me as I needed a nap too. So took him home. Was fine and his usual self. Gave him a small chew stick. Around 1:45pmish I took him for a nap in his crate as he was tired. Seemed normal and ok. Then checked on him around 3:20pm. Saw I had come in but didnt react and noticed he has been sick. Got him downstairs with me and hes curled up. Very sleepy and now and again letting out a bit of a cry.

Is this because of the jab, is it normal or should I be worried and see a vet asap?

Maybe give the vet a ring? They will know whether sickness is a possible side effect of the painkiller they used.

I took him to the vet. Not sure what is wrong but given him an anti sickness jab and got to give him an antihistamine tablet later. They arent concerned and sadly because hes a pup he will whine and cry as hes still sore from the sting. He just needs plenty of rest now and rest for me too. Been a horrible long day

Antihistamines cause drowsiness too, so be prepared for that.

And give him an extra hug from his dogforum fans.
