I know a lot of people use a Dremel Nicky thats the same thing isn't it :)

I have been using an electric Dremmel for about 18 months now. They aren't that noisy, I think the battery ones are fractionally quieter??

I have a dremel but like the look of these as it has a guard which might stop me from dremeling my own fingers or nails.

Just been on the website and they are not a bad price either.

thanks ,iv tryed dremmel but they hated it so i was wondering if it was any quieter ,as im having few probs doing my lilys nails to the point were i think she gunna pass out shes stressing so much iv tryed wrapping her in a blanket and covering her eyes and only doing one at a time and then one another day ,she hates the clippers and was petrified of the dremmel ,so im looking for somthing a bit quieter they are a good price arnt they ,im now having to wait till she in a deep sleep before i do a sneaky hit and run one nail at a time :D but because im trying to do it so quickk im afraid im guna go to short one day

i have one of these and none of mine will let me near, it is quite loud (well for an over sensitive whippet like Daisy) and a little heavy, also the guard is a pain as you have to put the nail in a small gap so not really very easy to use, unless its just me being cak handed

I have one and think they are great, i bought it of ebay for about £8.00, it is really to use and compared to a dremel much lighter and quieter :)

I know exactly where you are coming from Beau is a complete nightmare when it comes to having his nails done and we have tried everything, but it usually ends in him having a stressy temper tantrum!! I brought one of these in hope it would be an easier way of doing his nails but it is now sitting in its box in the dog cupboard unused. It is a lot louder that I expected it to be and quite bulky to. As soon as I put it on Beau ran a mile so there wasn't much point in me even trying to use it on him.

Hi Nicky

I started off with a pet one which I think I got from Groomers. They are slightly quieter but I found that it was not quite as effective on whippet nails. I ended up getting a dremmel and have found this to be much better. If they are not sure of the noise try little and often rather than waiting until the nails are longer.

Blimy that sounds exactly like me, Molly freaks out so much that I got one but have never used it either, she didnt like the noise. I take Molly to the groomers now to get her nails cut, the lady is awesome she does all the nails in less than 5 mins, totally stress free and well worth the £8 every 6 weeks or so

I have a similar cheap version and Blue lets me do her nails no fuss at all,

I tried a Pedipaws trimer on Lilly. Absolute waste of money, I did everything it said, like getting her used to the noise over several days. Ha Ha Ha!

I only had to switch it on and she vanished up 2 flights of stairs and hid under my sons bed. It took me half an hour to find her. Lilly and I agree that plenty of walks are the only cure for growing nails :) :) :) ;)

  ........ I have two in the cupboard if you want them  (way too noisy and vibrate far too much for my gang (w00t) )

I've reverted to good old nail clippers ......... it's taken a while, but all things are possible!! :)

I'm getting through sanding pads/rings like there's no tomorrow here...anyone know where I can get them in bulk...ebay only seem to sell them in 6's...at the moment that lasts a couple of weeks max!!

I guess that is the difference between a Dremel and a 'perfect drill'!!!
