I have a 4 year old staffie/JRT cross, she's not been speyed YET. It can be done in January, the vet wanted to know where she was in her cycle etc. Her previous owner was some complete idiot who gave her away at a station, so i think the responsible act of speying her was a bit beyond him.

For the time being she's in a phantom pregnancy, which is fine. However she has on a fair few occasions decided to eat her food and then reguritate it in hiden places. The favourite place is between the sofa cushions, spshe digs up the throw, hides it all and then puts the theow back. She's also started to do it under our bed.

She only ever does this when we are out. If you give her a plate of left over meat or anything other than dog kibbles she'll eat it and even when left alone wont regurgitate it.

When I say left alone, she was left for half an hour. Not all day.

I love my dog but I don't like dog food surprises in my sofa.

Has anyone else had this or know of anyways to combat it?

Hi there,

I just have a few questions if you wish to reply to me privately the email address is myveterinarynurse@gmail.com

Does she sleep in your bed?

Does she do any other unwanted behaviour when she is left alone like chewing objects or going to the toliet in the house?

What type of food are you feeding her?

Is she nesting at the moment?

Kind Regards,

My Veterinary Nurse

She has her own bed, in the living room and sleeps in there.

Doesn't chew, doesn't go to toilet. No other unwanted behaviour.

She gets a 70:30 ratio of dry kibbles and a little wet food. She's been on the same brand and flavour for months.

Not really nesting, she's much more tolerable of puppies, and starting to produce a little milk, maybe a tad moapy.
